Since childhood, Jaco finds a soulmate and imaginary friend in Elvis. Elvis becomes a refuge when any outcome seems impossible, for both Jaco and his mother. Throughout Jaco’s life, he discovers that he has more in common with Elvis than he thought. The unforgivable happens on Christmas Eve. Does fame bring absolution? Is there forgiveness, even for Jaco? Is there really an afterlife? Is our future “calculated”? The narrative of the play is supported by songs from André Schwartz’s own pen, as well as several well-known Elvis Presley songs.
