Schalk Bezuidenhout was last at the KKNK before the Covid-19 pandemic. But people, Schalk is becoming like the good red wine he likes to drink: Better and better with each passing year. And funnier. So be lekker and buy a ticket to treat your funny bone in the company of one of South Africa’s, well, make that Africa’s and the world’s top comedians. If you’ve only seen Schalk headbang on Instagram while saying “Feeling good, feeling positive!”, you’re in for a treat: Schalk is much funnier on stage. At 32, he’s still handsome and now also mature, a real mamma se groot seun (mommy’s big boy). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and various commitments abroad, he has not been at the KKNK for years, and he misses the festival. After all, this is where he presented his first Afrikaans one-man show back in 2015. And now, in 2025, it is ten years later.
